Dr.Dolly Biswas

Dr. Dolly Biswas is an Assistant Professor of Law at Haldia Law College since March, 2024. Dr. Biswas has done her B.A.LL.B. from Jalpaiguri Law College under University of North Bengal and LL.M. (with specialization in Business Law) from Haldia Law College, affiliated under Vidyasagar University. She also completed her Ph.D. in Law from Department of Law, Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University on the topic “Role of the Sovereign to Protect Human Rights of its Citizen During Armed Conflict: A Study of the Legal Regime”. She practised as an Advocate at Berhampore District & Sessions’ Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad. Before joining the present Institute, Dr. Biswas had served as an Assistant Professor in Law at Mohammad Abdul Bari Institute of Juridical Science, Domkal, Murshidabad. Dr. Biswas also served as a Guest Lecturer at Department of Law, Murshidabad University. She has participated and presented paper on UGC Sponsored and other National and International Seminars/ Workshops/ Conferences/ Teachers Training Programmes organized by various Universities and Colleges. Her area of interest includes Family Laws, Human Rights Law, Public International Law, Constitutional Law, Research Methodology, etc.
