Dr. Tanmoy Roy

Dr. Tanmoy Roy is presently working at Haldia Law College, affiliated under Vidyasagar University as an Assistant Professor of Law from April, 2023. Prior to this, he had also served as an Assistant Professor at George School of Law at Konnagar. He was also associated with Sureswar Dutta Law College, Howrah as its faculty member. Dr. Roy had completed his B.A.LL.B. and LL.M. from Department of Law, University of Calcutta. He has earned his Ph.D. degree from School of Law and Governance, Central University of South Bihar. He has also cleared the prestigious UGC NET Exam and West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WBSET) Exam in Law. Dr. Roy has many publications to his credit in several UGC CARE Listed Journals, Scopus Indexed Journals as well as in Nationally and Internationally acclaimed Peer Reviewed Journals.  He has also published a book on “Refugee Laws and Policies in India” from Satyam Law International, New Delhi. Dr. Roy has also contributed several book chapters in many edited books. He has presented several papers in International and National Seminars and Conferences held across the country. He has keen interest in the core area of Constitutional & Administrative Law, Human Rights Law, Jurisprudence, Refugee Law, Family Law etc.
