Dr. Samit Kumar Maity Datta

Dr. Samit Kumar Maity Datta is at present serving as a Principal of Haldia Law College, affiliated under Vidyasagar University. He had joined Haldia Law College as an Associate Professor of Law in April, 2023. He had also worked as an Associate Professor of Law at Brainware University, Kolkata. Previously Dr. Maity Datta was associated with Adamas University, Kolkata as an Assistant Professor of Law. He was also engaged with Sureswar Dutta Law College and Shyambazar Law College as an Assistant Professor of Law. He is having a vast teaching experience in the core area of Business Law, Corporate Law and Property Law. Dr. Maity Datta has presented several research papers in various International and National Seminars, Webinars, Conferences, Workshops and Symposiums held across India. He has number of publications in various reputed National and International Journals indexed by UGC CARE list, Scopus, Web of Science etc. He has also written several Book Chapters in various Edited Books. He has also written a book on “Merger & Acquisition in India: All you need to know” from Satyam Law International. His area of interest is Corporate Law, Property Law, Procedural law and Taxation Law.
